A rebuilt website for the Inspectorate of North Sumatra Province. PPID documents, legal references and reporting channels sit one click from the homepage, and the inspectorate's YouTube, Instagram and Facebook feed into it.
01 / The problem
Where it started
Government bodies in Indonesia are expected to publish their information openly, and each year public bodies are assessed on how well they do it. In 2023 the inspectorate's site scored behind on how informative it was.
PPID and JDIH documents, the two things assessors and citizens look for first, were not easy to reach. The social accounts were run in-house and posted irregularly, so news on the website and on social media drifted apart.
What success had to look like
PPID documents and JDIH regulations one click from the homepage.
Reporting channels for gratification, whistleblowing and Saber Pungli on every page.
YouTube, Instagram and Facebook pulled into the website as they post.
Social accounts run on a set schedule, so the website and the feeds carry the same news.
02 / The process
Four steps, from auditing the old site to running the social accounts.
Phase 01
We listed what the public and the assessment look for, and where the old site buried it.
Phase 02
PPID, JDIH and reporting channels moved up to the main navigation and the homepage.
Phase 03
Document lists by category, regulation search, news, and live social feeds.
Phase 04
The site went live in 2023, and we took over the posting schedule for the social accounts.
03 / What we built
From the homepage to the posting schedule behind the social accounts.
01 / Homepage
The homepage opens on current campaigns, then the latest news. A Layanan Cepat panel stays on the right with the four things people come to do.
02 / PPID
The information list is split into the categories the law uses: berkala, serta merta, setiap saat and dikecualikan. Each document downloads as a PDF, and the request form sits beside the list.
03 / JDIH
Laws and regional regulations behind the inspectorate's work, searchable by title, number, type and year, each with a view and a download link.
04 / News & social
News is grouped by topic: oversight, outreach, integrity zone, PPID. The latest YouTube video and Instagram posts load next to it, so a visitor sees the same update wherever they follow the inspectorate.
05 / Mobile
The same pages collapse into one column. Layanan Cepat follows the news on the homepage, and every PPID document keeps its download button within thumb reach.
06 / Social media management
We took over the inspectorate's YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. Posts follow a set schedule and carry the same news that goes up on the website.
Under the hood
The site runs on Laravel. News, PPID documents and regulations are stored as structured records, each with a category, a date and a file, which is what makes the filters and search work.

04 / Results
